The downtown core and its amenities offers convenience to the surrounding residential neighbourhood. These are generally small, older 2-3 bedroom homes that appeal to the retired and first time buyers. Common lot sizes are 33' x 100'. At the north end of the downtown core is a popular swimming hole next to the "wooden bridge." A nearby playground and water park attracts families on those hot summer days.

Parks

Two Rivers Park:  Located at the confluence of the Similkameen and Tulameen Rivers, the park is adjacent to the Trans Canada Trail and the Bridge of Dreams. The Town of Princeton and the Vermillion Trails Society helped develop the bridge and park and it has become a key access point for visitors and residents to the Similkameen and Tulameen Rivers. The park includes a sandy beach area and picnic tables. The park is adjacent to the Trans Canada trail and a 10 kilometre urban paved and lit section. The Two Rivers Park is the perfect place to stop at while riding the trail, to cool off in the water, or to take in the breathtaking scenery.

The Bridge of Dreams, an award winning pedestrian bridge that spans across the Tulameen River, is the site of the last bridge that was completed along the historic Ketlle Valley Railway (the "KVR"). The original "Bridge of Dreams" was completed in Princeton in 1909. The KVR carried passengers through Princeton until 1964 and freight until 1989; shortly thereafter the rails were removed.  The former KVR rail bed is now part of the Trans Canada Trail system.
